Teenager spent £12,000 with father's credit card
A teenager took his father's credit card and spent about £12,000 during a four-day trip to Brighton and Rome.
The teenager, Tom Smith, stole the credit card from his father while he was out jogging. After acquiring the creditcard Tom went to the tourist agency and booked a flight to Rome. The first night he slept in a three-star hotel.
In Rome he spent a total of £6,295 in different expensive stores on clothes, jewellery, footwear, underwear, suitcases and glasses.
He also took a limousine tour through Rome for £300 and booked a room in the five-star Hassler Roma hotel for the second night.

When he was back in the United Kingdom he booked another limousine for £1,983. After picking up some friends in London, they drove to Brighton where they booked two £250-a-night rooms in a four-star hotel.
The next day he bought a Sony video camera and went home with the limousine.
After Tom was questioned by the police he said: "If Dad had got me these things in the first place I wouldn't have had to steal his card"
Tom might avoid a conviction if he pays for the bills. His father already forgave him for what he has done.Posted in Crime & Law by
