The Shocking Case of Jennifer Pan: Betrayal, Lies, and Murder

The documentary "What Jennifer Did" recounts the chilling true story of Jennifer Pan, who hired hit men to kill her parents. Jennifer was sentenced to life in prison in January 2015 for this crime.

She pretended to pursue an undergraduate degree, lied to her parents about her education, and was involved with a criminal boyfriend, Daniel Wong. When her parents found out about her lies, they forbid her from seeing Wong, leading Jennifer to orchestrate a plot to murder them. Jennifer confessed to hiring the hitmen after her father came out of a coma and revealed that she appeared to know the intruders. She is currently serving her sentence at Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener, Ontario.
