Woman says break-in was self-defence
A woman in Greenland, who broke into a hotel and stole liquor, will plead self-defense in court. She says it was cold outside and there was no other way in.
Jensine Berthelsen, a member of Greenland's local parliament, says breaking into the hotel was the only option she had. "It was cold and there was no other way to get in."She broke into a hotel in the west coast town of Sisimiut, but was caught by the police. They gave her two options. She could either pay a fine or go to court.
She opted for the last, saying: "If I pay the fine it amounts to declaring myself guilty, and I don't think I am."
Hmm, how about that liquor she stole, was that self-defense too? I wonder what the judge will say...Posted in Crime & Law Health & Food by
