Paramedic fired for honking dead woman's breast
Scott Kirhart from Manson, Iowa was fired for allegedly handling a woman's corpse inappropriately while he was transporting her to a morgue.
The Trinity Regional Medical Centre, which employed Mr Kirhart, fired him after a security officer who was also in the ambulance told them Kirhart stuck his fingers in the corpse's mouth. The security showed a "strong reaction," and as a result, Kirhart planted his fingers into the victim's nostrils.
As if this wasn't enough, Mr Kirhart also grabbed the woman's breast and said "honk, honk."
Kirhart later admitted he stuk his fingers in the dead woman's mouth, but denied the other accusations.
At a hearing, Kirhart claimed touching a corpse is not unusual in training practices. However, the Iowa judge judge disagreed, stating it was not a training and normal people would have known touching the body in that manner was extremely innapropriate.Posted in Crime & Law by
