Fugitive caught asking directions 50 yards from destination
A Romanian fugitive, Iosif Irimescu, was caught by an off-duty policeman when he asked the police officer directions to the border with Hungary.
Iosif Irimescu told the off-duty policeman he wanted to cross the border unseen because the police was looking for him. He had a little problem though, he didn't know where or how far away the border with Hungary was. He was aiming to cross the border on foot, so he wanted to make sure he was going the right way. Ironically engough the guy was only 50 yards away from the border with Hungary in Satu-Mara.The off-duty policeman pretended he was bringing Mr. Irimescu to the border, but took him to the police station instead. The fugitive was suspected for several theft cases, but now he's also charged with illegally trying to cross a border.
This must've been one of the unluckiest men alive today.Posted in Crime & Law by
